FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Do I have to be 19 to order?

Yes. Nicotine products are restricted to adults 19 and over in Canada. We verify age at checkout, and the carrier verifies it again on delivery with photo ID and an adult signature.

What is the difference between a disposable and a pod device?

A disposable arrives charged and filled and is thrown away when it runs dry. Nothing to set up. A pod device is a rechargeable battery that takes replaceable pods or refillable cartridges — more expensive up front, noticeably cheaper per week, and you choose your own nicotine strength.

What does the puff count actually mean?

It is a manufacturer estimate based on short, consistent draws. Long or hard draws use liquid faster, so real-world numbers usually land below the figure on the box. Treat it as a way to compare devices, not a promise.

What is salt nicotine, and do I need it?

Salt nicotine stays smooth at higher strengths, so it suits low-output pod devices. Freebase is harsher at the same strength and is meant for higher-power setups. If you are using a small pod device, you want salt.

Which nicotine strength should I pick?

In Canada, 20mg/mL is the legal maximum and the most common. If you are coming off cigarettes, 20mg is the usual starting point. If 20mg feels too sharp, 10mg is the step down.

Will these pods fit my device?

Pods are not universal. Check the device name on the listing against yours — a STLTH pod will not fit a Vaporesso XROS. If you are unsure, message us with your device name and we will confirm before you order.

What coil resistance should I use?

Lower resistance (0.4–0.6 ohm) gives more vapour and more warmth, and uses more liquid and battery. Higher resistance (0.8–1.2 ohm) is cooler and tighter, closer to a cigarette draw, and lasts longer. Your device manual lists the range it supports.

Coconut charcoal or quick-light?

Coconut charcoal burns longer, cleaner and with no chemical taste, but needs a coil burner or stove to light. Quick-light discs light with a lighter in seconds and are the practical choice if you have no burner. Most regular hookah smokers end up on coconut.

What charcoal size do I need?

25mm cubes suit most standard bowls and are the safe default. 26mm and 28mm hold more heat and burn longer, better for larger or phunnel bowls. Flats heat faster and suit shallow bowls.

Is herbal shisha really tobacco-free?

Yes. The Soex herbal shisha we carry contains no tobacco and no nicotine. It packs and burns like traditional shisha. It still produces smoke, so the usual ventilation advice applies.

Do you ship internationally?

No. We ship within Canada only.
